Introduction This is a listing for those interesting in plushies (also called plush animals, teddy bears, teddies, stuffies, stuffed animals, etc...) and are looking for info. It includes various websites hosted by the manufacturers, retailers and collectors of these bundles of fuzzy joy. A grab bag of further information and resources of interest is available in the miscellaneous section. Directions to newsgroups, mailing lists and message boards dealing with plush follow that. Also, there's a large list of stores with strong plush collections in them. Finally comes a listing of the mailing addresses and phone numbers of many prominent plush manufacturers.
I've come into possession of maintenance of this listing from the original composer, Deodanth, and am currently in the process of updating and revising it. At the present, some of the information may be outdated and some of the companies and stores may no longer exist. As well, I'm working towards expanding the listing to include Canadian stores and manufacturers as well. 3. Newsgroups, Mailing Lists and Message Boards Various newsgroups exist for the collectors of plush toys. In the past, some of these groups suffered from strong levels of spammage. But recently there's been a renewed interest in the newsgroups and the level of on-topic posting has increased dramatically. Some plush fans have also begun a counter-attack against the spam posters to further purify the groups. In all directly plush groups, it is encouraged to include "PLUSH" at the beginning of any on-topic post's title so that it can be noticed through spam and/or survive the automatic filtering many readers use.

alt.fan.furry (AFF) - The principal Usenet newsgroup for furry fans. Although many plushies are also furries (and vice versa), AFF is generally reserved for more furry-type discussion.
